British government and her ministers.

He advised Mr Johnson for almost two years and before that his predecessor as Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond, now Chancellor of the Exchequer, for more than a year. While working as Press Secretary to two successive Transport Secretaries (2011-2013), he led central government transport communications around the 2012 London Olympic Games and the development stages of Britain’s new high speed train network, HS2.

Before joining the British government, Simon spent a decade (2001-2011) as a political correspondent and senior staff reporter on UK newspapers including The Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday and Yorkshire Post.
