
Peace Ball - London Guildhall November 2017
In November 2017, Football for Peace partnered with the City of London and held their first inaugural Peace Ball at the iconic Guildhall in London to celebrate Football Diplomacy, bringing together the football world with the diplomatic world. Ambassadors and High Commissioners representing 15 different countries across the globe as well a selection of Professional Footballers attended to witness a momentous gathering at the Iconic Guildhall, Gresham St, London. The evening also celebrated the launch of a City for Peace in London.
The evening included a reception, 3 course dinner, auction and key note speeches from His Royal Highness Prince Ali Al-Bin Hussein and Ambassador of the US to the UK HE Robert Wood Johnson IV on the power of Football Diplomacy.
Football for Peace was delighted and honored to present the ‘MoM Awards 2017’ to Ronaldinho’s mother, Dona Miguelina and Jermain Defoe’s mother, Sandra Defoe for their support and influence in their son’s philanthropic endeavors.



Football in all its froms has the ability to impact individuals, communities and Nations. The work of Football for Peace is a great demonstration of the positive impact football can make to contribute to many of the challenges people face today.
