LONDON CITY FOR PEACE 2018

Our London project was targeted in the borough of Newham where the programme helped bring together young people from across East London from a variety of cultures, faiths and socio economic backgrounds, impacting on them positively to bring about personal change and contribute to a more cohesive and tolerant borough. Newham, is one of the most diverse boroughs in London sadly it has significant issues with youth related violence, post code rivalries, gangs, guns, knife crime, drugs. The programme was established to challenge those harmful mindsets.

LUTON CITY FOR PEACE 2018

Our Town for Peace Luton project saw 30 new FfP Young Peace Leaders from across Luton and Bedford shire after a culmination of months of hard work and commitment. Delivered in partnership with Luton Football Club and Luton Council. Luton is a diverse town, 40 minutes out of London, sadly it became infamous for being the home of the Far Right 'English Defence League' (EDL), where right wing extremism has its roots well and truly embedded and has serious issues relating to Islamic fundamentalism and a significant level of Hate Crime above the national average. This programme was established to challenge those harmful and destructive ideologies and mindsets to bring young people together using our recognised and established FfP processes. It was a resounding success and saw Luton and Bedfordshire communities coming together and unite at Kenilworth Stadium for community Peace Tournaments led by our newly graduated FfP Young Peace Leader.
